'Get Shorty' Season 1 Spoilers: Miles Confronts His Future Head On in Episode 10
Miles (Chris O'Dowd) makes an important decision on the upcoming episode of "Get Shorty" season 1.
Titled "Blue Pages," Saturday's finale will see Miles deal with a final reckoning with his loved ones. He is forced to face his past and present, while also confronting his future head on. Meanwhile, his film with Louis (Sean Bridges), "The Admiral's Mistress," and those connected to it starts to unravel.
The previous episode saw Miles and Louis make an unexpected trip to Los Angeles. They embarked on a journey to save their film after an unforeseen event caused a major hold-up in production.
Becca (Ruth Kearney) was supposed to be replaced by British actress Carey Mulligan (as herself) in the role of Margaret. Although the studio already gave them the blessing to recast the role, things took an unexpected turn when Becca filed an accident report. Gravity Pictures was forced to stop the production of "The Admiral's Mistress" because of Becca's claim. She knew they were trying to get rid of her, so she said she sustained an eye injury while filming for the movie.
In August, Epix picked up "Get Shorty" for a 10-episode second season slated for a 2018 release. O'Dowd and Romano are set to reprise their respective series regular roles on the show.
"Epix is proud to be the home of 'Get Shorty,' which has been the perfect addition to our scripted original slate," Epix president and CEO Mark Greenberg said in a press release. "'Get Shorty' is our most successful original scripted series to date, and continues to deliver phenomenal performances. We are thrilled to be working again with MGM Television, Davey Holmes, Chris O'Dowd, Ray Romano and the Get Shorty team on a second season."
The first season finale of "Get Shorty" airs Sunday, Oct. 8, at 10 p.m. EDT on Epix.
