GFA Bringing the Asian Mission Field to America

This Fourth of July weekend, Gospel for Asia plans to bring the overseas mission field to hundreds of Americans for the second annual Renewing Your Passion Conference.

"If it were possible, I would take you to the mission field to witness the amazing miracles and wonders the Lord is doing," stated GFA President K.P. Yohannan.

The mission agency reported recent beatings and disease infections such as malaria among native missionaries during their Gospel-sharing work throughout Asia, but the burden of reaching the unreached has kept many to continue sharing the Gospel and miraculous healings to have also taken place.

Beginning Friday, hundreds of church leaders and believers will hear first-hand accounts from the missionaries and be encouraged to take the Gospel themselves to the unreached. The three-day conference is "not just information," as Yohannan said, according to Agape Press. "I would say this is a once-in-a-life opportunity."

Last year, nearly 200 people attended the first Renewing Your Passion Conference and Yohannan testified of spiritual lives being "revolutionized" with a renewal to mission and evangelism.

One conference attendant said, "God awoke my heart for the lost. I will now seek the Lord to learn what He desires of me to reach them."

The conference will be held June 30-July 2at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas, near the GFA office. Highlights include a prayer meeting Saturday evening and corporate worship Sunday morning.

Yohannan encourages church leaders to gain a greater awareness of the role they and their churches have in fulfilling the Great Commission.
