'Ghostbusters 3' Plot Rumors, Cast News: Director Peter Feig's Proposed Plot Leaked, Peter Dinklage to Play Villain?
More information about the upcoming "Ghostbusters 3" continues to pour in as a result of the cyber-attacks that hackers launched at Sony Pictures. During the past few days, leaked emails between Sony executives revealed the names of the actresses who were interested to be in the film, and now, Vulture reports that in another leaked email to Sony chief Amy Pascal, director Peter Feig has proposed a bunch of ideas for the film and named a "Game of Thrones" actor as his choice for the villain.
In the email, Feig says that the film is a reboot and not a sequel, and that in "Ghostbusters 3," humans are not afraid of ghosts because they haven't met them yet.
He describes the film as "scarier and more hi-tech" than the original "Ghostbusters." And if Feig had his way, the villain will be a convicted murderer who would be played by Peter Dinklage, who turns into a ghost after his execution is hit by "a supercharged electrical storm."

This gives him the power to raise an army of other ghosts who could be made up of famous villains throughout history.
Feig went on to add that the ghosts will be hunted down by "four very different women" who have to "figure out in funny, scary, and action-packed ways how to save New York City and the world."
The director also tells Pascal that the Ghostbusters will work for the U.S. government, who will repeatedly distance themselves from the four women in an attempt to prove that ghosts don't really exist.
Feig plans to cast "Saturday Night Live" comedienne Cecily Strong as an official who is "always saying terrible things about them in press conferences and then apologizing to them behind the scenes." Feig also notes that continuing the original "Ghostbusters" plot about the group having a bad relationship with the local government will allow the franchise to continue in the future.
As of the moment, Feig has yet to confirm if this is the actual plot for "Ghostbusters 3," which is set for release in 2016.
