Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik Rumors: Are They In a Rush to Get Engaged?

Conflicting reports on whether Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik want to get engaged soon have emerged now that the former's ex-boyfriend has already popped the question to his current girlfriend.

Recently, Life & Style Magazine quoted an anonymous source who claimed that while Hadid has completely moved on from ex Joe Jonas and is deeply in love with Malik, the Victoria's Secret model apparently wants the same level of commitment that her ex has for his current partner.

Earlier this month, Jonas and "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner announced their engagement.

"They've been dating for two years and have been living together," Life & Style's insider said. "Gigi feels that Zayn is the one, and is ready to take their relationship to the next level."

However, the magazine's source also added that Malik is reportedly focused on "conquering his demons before walking down the aisle."

The report noted: "Zayn knows Gigi's the one, but he would rather wait another year before getting engaged."

On the other hand, Gossip Cop, a site that analyzes and checks the various rumors making their rounds, said that particular speculation about Hadid was not true and she was actually not putting any pressure on Malik to propose.

The couple has been keeping their relationship fairly private and away from the public eye, but their occasional social media posts together show that they are evidently happy just being with each other.

There have also been several instances where Hadid and Malik talked about their relationship in interviews.

Earlier this year, Malik told the Evening Standard that he does not prefer for people to consider them a "power couple." The singer said: "I'm with her because I like her and I hope she's with me because she likes me. When we come home, we don't really talk about that s***. We just spend time together as a normal couple, cook food, watch TV, have a laugh."
