Gillian Anderson Pilot Set for NBC
Gillian Anderson has teamed up with Rand Ravich on a new television role this week.
The "X-Files" alum will appear on the NBC series as CEO Meg Fitch, a mother whose daughter was abducted by a mysterious villain, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Furthermore, Anderson will co-star in the drama alongside Racheal Taylor who starred on "666 Park Avenue" in the upcoming drama series, according to ComingSoon.net. The actresses will portray sisters on the yet-to-be-titled series.
The story will follow Fitch as she turns to her estranged sister, an FBI agent, when an evil puppeteer abducts her daughter as well as an entire private school class. The villain wants to bring everyone from CEOs to the President of the U.S. to their knees with threats to the things they hold most dear.
The dramatic thriller is in development at NBC with Ravich and Far Shariat serving as executive producers. Ravich has directed films such as "The Astronauts Wife" and created the television series "Life."
Stevie Lynn Jones is also attached to the series in a role of a student. The project comes from 20th Century Fox Television.
Anderson is best known for her role as Dana Scully on "The X Files," but the actress has more recently appeared on several British television shows including "Great Expectations," "The Fall," and "Room on the Broom."
