Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas Engaged After Meeting on 'Once Upon a Time'
"Once Upon a Time" costars Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas are engaged, their representatives confirmed. The real-life, and on-screen, couple met on the set of the hit ABC series and have been together ever since.
"It hit me a like a blinding light," Dallas told People magazine. "I thought, 'I'm in trouble now.'"
At the time they met, though, Dallas was still married to actress Lara Pulver, so the two started off as friends. From there, the relationship just developed naturally as they spent more and more time together… and Dallas found himself farther and farther apart from Pulver.
"They were shooting in Canada together," a source told E! News, "and because they were both away from home, they inevitably started to socialize together off the set as well as on – and they got closer as friends."
After Dallas and Pulver separated in 2011, "his connection to Ginnifer deepened and they fell in love. The relationship has been full-on since the moment it turned romantic and they spend every moment together. There was no reason to wait and take it slow – they fell in love, and it feels right," the source added.
The two, who play Snow White and Prince Charming on the ABC series, will apparently have their own happily ever after. Dallas proposed in Los Angeles on Wednesday, and their publicists confirmed the good news today.
"We are so thrilled to announce our engagement and can't wait to celebrate with our friends and family, including our second family at 'Once Upon a Time,'" the official statement read.
This will be Dallas' second marriage and the first for Goodwin. "Once Upon a Time" continues to be a huge success in its third season and has spawned a spin-off debut series, "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland," which focuses on the story of "Alice in Wonderland," but with a very modern twist.
"Once Upon a Time" airs Sunday nights on ABC.
