Gionee GN5007 Specs, Release Date: Phablet With 5,000 mAh Battery Pops Up on TENAA

A heavyweight of a Gionee smartphone seems to be on the way with one Gionee GN5007 popping up on the Chinese regulatory board TENAA.

The listing for the device reveals a 6-inch display with a modest 1,440 × 720 pixel resolution, which puts it in the midranger phablet department.

More on its appearance and form factor, the mysterious Gionee GN5007 is 8.6 mm thick and weighs 187 grams. Its bulky build could be due to hulking 5,000 mAh battery that it houses.

The photos of the handset provided by the TENAA show that this device is not joining the bezel-less trend although its forehead and chin are still impressively thin and the sides are very slim, making the display look taller.

On the inside, the Gionee GN5007 has an unidentified 1.4 GHz processor with eight cores as its source of power. It is accompanied by 4 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 32 GB of storage space.

Another mobile trend the Gionee is passing on is the ever-g rowing dual camera movement. There is only one sensor on the back and it is at 13 megapixels.

An LED flash can be seen next to it on the TENAA image with a fingerprint scanner sitting below. On the selfie side of things, users will get an 8 MP camera. Running the show out of the box should be the Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

There is no word at the moment on when the Gionee GN5007 will be released and what the pricing will be. TENAA only shows the smartphone in black so there is no word if there will be more color variants to choose from.

A TENAA visit usually means that a device is almost ready for its big unveiling. This suggests that it will not be long before the Gionee GN5007 is launched. Users should get the official details about it soon.
