'Girl Meets World' Season 2 Episode 19 Recap: Riley Tries Out for Cheerleading Squad Again
Another episode of "Girl Meets World" has gone by and as usual, it wasn't short of teen drama and life lessons. Episode 19 titled "Girl Meets Rah Rah" was all about Riley (Rowan Blanchard) trying out for the cheerleading squad again and Cory (Ben Savage) is worried. She has been trying out for the team every year and every time, she just gets disappointed because she never makes it.
Her best friend, Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), tried to prevent another cheer-related heartbreak so she told Riley the truth about her not being good in the area of cheerleading. But Riley did not let Maya's honesty waver her and still pushed through with the try outs.
According to the Young Folks, Coach Kelly, head of the cheerleading squad, doesn't like Riley and she wishes that the young teen would just stop breaking her own heart every year.

During the tryouts, Riley's best friends Maya, Farkle (Corey Fogelmanis) and Lucas (Peyton Meyer) went to watch her perform. They were all there for a reason—whether to help her, support her or simply just to watch her. In the episode, Coach Kelly showed Riley the Bell of Giving Up.
If she decides to just let it go and give up, she can just ring the bell. But even though things didn't go as planned, Riley still did not ring the bell. She didn't make it to the team though. And that leads to the lesson of the day brought by Cory, which was about not giving up. He cited Thomas Edison's name and told the class his many tries while inventing the lightbulb. He obtained success because he never gave up.
In the end, the trio (Maya, Lucas and Farkle) went to Riley's room to tell her how proud they are of her. But Riley didn't hear it though because they thought it was her sleeping under the covers, only to find out that she wasn't there and it was just a bunch of pillows. IGN noted that Perez Hilton made a random cameo in the show. He was interviewing Riley on her inspirational story, sending out a message that nothing is impossible.
"Girl Meets World" season 2 episode 20 will air on Oct. 16.
