'Girl Meets World' Season 4 Renewal to Happen? Sabrina Carpenter Explains
Is a "Girl Meets World" season 4 renewal a possibility that could still happen? Upon asking the Disney Channel star Sabrina Carpenter, she replied that the possibility could still there. Carpenter played Maya Hart, one of the lead characters in the canceled spinoff show.
Carpenter was recently in Japan to perform in the Pop Spring 2017 event. In an exclusive interview with the local news network TV Groove, the actress singer was asked about the possibility of a new season for "Girl Meets World."
"There's a chance for everything. I think stranger things have happened," Carpenter explained. "I think stranger things have happened. It's so funny when you say that. I'm happy when people are upset about it ending because if they weren't and were happy about it, that's a bad thing, so when they're upset that means we left something [people care about]. And I think that's a really cool thing. But we'll see what happens, I don't know," Carpenter continued in the interview with TV Groove as quoted by the International Business Times.
Although Carpenter has moved on to her other duties as her career demands, she appears to be looking forward to a renewal of the canceled Disney Channel series, possibly on some other network. For that to happen, series creator Michael Jacobs have been hard at work finding other avenues for a possible season 4 renewal of "Girl Meets World."
When asked if the cast is still up for another run of the show, Jacobs replied. "I believe everyone will be on board. But I have to say, there are practicalities to this. When something is canceled, that basically releases everyone to make their own decisions," Jacobs said, and adds that a reunion is likely. "But I think the experience of this particular show was such a good experience for this cast and this crew that — I can't speak for everyone — but I think the inclination would be to stay together if we could," Jacobs continued, as quoted by M Magazine.
