Gisele Bundchen Curses, Defends Tom Brady
Gisele Bundchen defended her husband Tom Brady while using expletives following last night's Super Bowl.
The highly anticipated NFL game saw stiff competition between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants Sunday night, with the Giants coming out on top. Brady's loss marks the second against Giant's quarterback Eli Manning.
While Bundchen was exiting the Indianapolis football stadium after the game, a Giants fan yelled "Eli owns your husband."
Instead of shouting back, Bundchen turned to a friend and said, "My husband cannot f------ throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time," according to TMZ.
The supermodel added, "I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."
Following the game, Brady relied on his wife for consolation. Minutes after her comments about the Patriots, Bundchen was spotted embracing Brady as they left the stadium.
The Victoria's Secret model's criticism of the New England Patriots matches that of many viewers of Sunday night's game, as the Pats were defeated by the Giants 21-17.
Bundchen was likely referring to Patriot's player Wes Welker who dropped a pass at the 20-yeard line with four minutes left in the game, forcing a punt that gave the Giants another chance to score.
Alternately, Brady revealed no contempt toward Welker, saying he and the receiver "failed to connect" during the postgame conference.
"Wes is a phenomenal player and a teammate," said Brady. "I love that guy."
Days before the Super Bowl, an email by Bundchen requesting prayers for Brady leaked to the media. The model asked friends and family to "send positive energy" and pray for her husband and the Patriots.
"Envision him happy and fulfilled experiencing with his team a victory this Sunday," urged Bundchen.
Despite the loss, Brady is considered one of the best quarterbacks of all time. He has earned three Super Bowl championships in the past, and was seeking his fourth on Sunday to match his boyhood heroes Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw.
