Giuliana Rancic Returns to E! After Breast Cancer Announcement

Following surgery for breast cancer, “E! News” host Giuliana Rancic has returned to the studio.

A deluge of well wishes and support hit social media sites after Rancic announced her cancer diagnosis on “The Today Show” last week. Tuesday, the news anchor underwent a double lumpectomy and had several lymph nodes removed.

After positive reports of her post-surgery recovery, E! Online reports Rancic will appear on the network’s news show tonight.

“I’m so thrilled to get back to work and return to my E! family today,” E! News reported. “I still have a long road ahead, but thanks to everyone’s overwhelming love, support, and prayers, it will be an easier journey.”

Rancic added a special message to the fans and celebrities that expressed their support for her.

“The E! viewers have helped me get through this and stay strong more than they will ever know and I will be eternally grateful to them for their love,” she said.

The 37-year-old anchor caught her cancer in early stages due to a mammogram examination during in vitro fertilization treatments. Rancic said while on “GMA” that she will still try to become a mother.

“I still want this baby… because this baby saved my life,” said Rancic. “I truly feel like God was looking after me… If I had gotten pregnant later down the line, I could have been a lot sicker.”

Her husband, Bill Rancic, added, “I think our story has a happy ending and that’s a good thing,” while on NBC. “It’s very treatable, it’s 100 percent treatable when you catch it early and that’s what the main message is I think. You’ve got to get after this thing sooner rather than later.”

“E! News” airs Monday at 7 p.m. EST.
