Giuliana Ranicic Approached for New Season of 'Dancing With the Stars'

Giuliana Rancic was recently approached to join the upcoming season of popular ABC show "Dancing With The Stars," and the E! News host admitted that she has been a long-time fan of the hit program.

"Yes, I've been approached for the new season, "I've been a big fan of the show for years!" Rancic told E! News.

Rancic, who recently underwent surgery for a double mastectomy, would undoubtedly be a fan favorite if she were a show contestant, but explained that she was forced to kindly reject the offer.

"But sadly, my schedule at the moment would never allow for the grueling rehearsal commitment. Who knows, maybe Bill and I can be on the show together one day and go toe-to-toe for the trophy," Rancic said.

The 36-year-old's current working schedule includes co-hosting E! Network show "Fashion Police," red carpet coverage for E!, and filming her reality TV show "Giuliana and Bill" with her husband Bill Rancic all while recovering from breast cancer treatment.

In November, the renowned TV host was praised for her strength after being diagnosed with early stage Breast Cancer, and although most women are expected to take extended time off for recovery Rancic returned to work in less than seven days.

In a previous interview with Parade.com, Rancic spoke about her decision to publicize her diagnosis and to continue filming her struggles with the disease insisting that her intent was to inform.

"It's worth it to kind of sacrifice some of my personal life to help others. We just felt like with every trial and tribulation we've put on this show, people have told us how much they learned from it and how it made them feel less alone," Rancic told Parade.

The inspiring cancer survivor recently revealed that her diagnosis has not been entirely negative, and that there has been a number of positive aspects.

Rancic opened up about how faith has assisted in her healing and recovery process, and that she has become more religious since her diagnosis.

"We go to church every Sunday. And we did before, but it never meant as a much as it does now. We prayed on our own, but now we prayed together and you'll never know how much that means until you do it. Bill and I have changed our lives in that one way," Rancic told PEOPLE magazine.
