'Glee' Season 5 Premiere Date Pushed Back to November? Producers Overcoming Cory Monteith's Death
Those eager to see the premiere of the fifth season of Fox's hit sitcom "Glee" may have to wait until November, a source said, citing the untimely death of one of the show's more prominent actors, Cory Monteith.
One of the ideas that has been touted would be to delay the production of the show about one month or longer in order to "let everyone breathe," a Fox source told the Daily News. The show had been scheduled to begin production of the upcoming season at the end of July.
The network had initially planned to kick off the fifth season of "Glee" on Sept. 19 before Fox began airing its coverage of Major League Baseball's post-season during the prime-time hours.

The news has shocked the entertainment industry, with friends of the late star expressing their deepest sympathies. A representative for Monteith's co-star and girlfriend Lea Michele released a statement asking for privacy as she comes to terms with her loss.
"We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time," the statement read.
Cory had been in his luxury hotel room with friends on Friday evening before heading out for the night. Lea, 26, is believed to have been at home in Los Angeles for work.
"She is absolutely hysterical and completely inconsolable," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "She is devastated beyond belief."
While the "Glee" actors had been co-stars since 2009 when the show premiered, they didn't begin dating until 2012.
Monteith played Finn Hudson, the on-again, off-again love interest to Michele's Rachel Berry on the hit Fox series.
Most recently, Michele voiced support for Monteith as he announced in April that he was seeking treatment for substance abuse.
"I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this," she told People magazine. "I am grateful and proud that he made this decision."
