'Glee' Season 5 Spoilers: Beatles Songs and Cory Monteith Tribute
Season 5 of Fox's hit musical comedy show "Glee" is marked with tragedy and sadness after the show's star, Cory Monteith, passed away earlier this summer. The show will go on, and there are big things planned for the fifth season, including several episodes with Beatles songs and a tribute episode to the late Monteith.
"Glee" star Naya Rivera recently spoke to MTV about the upcoming season of the show. Read on to see her comments, but be wary of spoilers below.
Rivera seems very excited for the episodes, which will contain Beatles songs.
"We're still shooting them. We're shooting three episodes at one time right now, and it's awesome. We get to sing all of the best Beatles songs," the actress told MTV.
Rivera will be a focal point of several epsiodes this season, as Demi Lovato joins the cast to play Rivera's romantic interest.
"I mean, she's playing my love interest, so I'm very, very excited about that. We get to sing a song together. It's gonna be good. I'm excited to work with her. We're bringing her to the dark side. Well, she comes in in a Beatles episode, so [we're singing] a Beatles song. I'm excited," Rivera said.
The actress also spoke to MTV about the Corey Monteith tribute episode, which is set to air on Oct 10.
"We've been shooting it. It's horrible. So many, so many [memories]. He was an amazing guy and I definitely miss him," the "Glee" star said to MTV.
"Glee" is set to return to television with the season premiere on Sept 26.
