Glenn Beck Slams Mom for Kicking Son Out of House for Voting Trump in Mock Election
Political commentator and radio host Glenn Beck has slammed a Texas mother for committing what he calls one of the "worst cases of mental child abuse" he has seen after she videotaped herself throwing her son out of the house because he voted for Donald Trump in a mock election at school.
"This is one of the worst cases of mental child abuse I have seen. Where is her family? Will anyone step up to stop this cruelty? Where is the state?" Beck asked in a Facebook post. "How could you ever trust your mother again?"
As 13wmaz reported, a local mother in Houston, Texas, is being investigated by police after a video was posted online last week of her forcing her young son out of their home with a suitcase, apparently because he voted for Trump in a mock election at his elementary school.

"Get your suitcase," the mother is heard shouting as she screams and curses at her son who's in tears pleading with his mother not to kick him out. "Get your suitcase and get out. Bye."
She then forced her son to stand outside on the sidewalk at night with his packed suitcase holding a sign that reads: "My mom kicked me out the house because I voted for Donald Trump."
The cell phone video was posted on Facebook and reportedly garnered more than 10 million views in less than 24 hours.
Local news station ABC13 reported that the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office has been looking into the situation, with Sheriff Troy Nehls assuring the public that the child is safe.
Detective Joe Luera, who met with the family, said the mother, who wasn't named, has tried to explain that the incident was all a joke, and intended to teach her son a lesson.
"I have personally met with the family and saw the child, his well-being. He appears to be in good health," Luera said, adding that the investigation is ongoing.
Some neighbors who were interviewed did not believe the incident was a joke.
"I can't believe a mother would go against her son like that and put her kid through that much trauma. That's awful," said Mike Terry.
Trump's election victory over his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton sparked violent protests in Portland, Los Angeles, Oakland, New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C. where thousands of protesters, some violent, have committed assaults, hate crimes, and burned and defaced small businesses, costing well over $1 million in property damage.
While some protesters marched peacefully, others burned U.S. flags and carried paper mache figures of Trump being hanged. Many of the signs held by protesters read "Not my president" and "my body my choice," in reference to abortion. Some signs warned of a pending mass protest during Trump's inauguration at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 20, 2017.
Beck added that the Houston mother's actions to "teach her son a lesson" show that "it is horrifying what we are becoming."
"Pray for us as a people. Our natural affection is fleeing fast," he said. "Pray that the spirit of thanksgiving, humility and the meaning of Christ's birth will renew us."
Beck, who backed Sen. Ted Cruz during the Republican primaries, was in the past a big outspoken critic of Trump, and even accused evangelical Christians who supported the billionaire businessman of "not listening to their God."
"Utah has an incredible opportunity. So many Christians have been standing up. But all throughout the South the evangelicals are not listening to their God. Let us raise a standard in Utah," he said in March, trying to urge voters in Utah to back Cruz instead of Trump.
