'God Eater 3' Confirmed for the PS4, Release for Additional Platforms Could Still Be Announced
Details about the game's protagonist and setting revealed previously
"God Eater 3" was made official just recently, but to this point, there are still numerous questions about the game that are unanswered.
One of those questions was related to which platforms may actually end up hosting the game.
While the game is widely expected to be released for current-gen platforms, developers have yet to clarify as much. However, that may no longer be the case.
Spotted recently by Gematsu, an entry on Bandai Namco Entertainment Korea's blog identified the upcoming installment of the "God Eater" series as a PlayStation 4 game.
Again, that revelation is not exactly surprising, but it may be a cause of concern for gamers who prefer other current-gen platforms.
For those gamers who may be worried, Gematsu did note that previous entries on that same blog have identified other titles as PS4 games before, even though they were also expected to be made available on other platforms.
What that means is that even if the blog post only mentioned the PS4 as the platform for "God Eater 3," there is still a chance that the game will be released for the PC or even the Xbox One.
Given the popularity of the Nintendo Switch, it really would not be that surprising if developers opted to release the game for that platform as well.
Fans will just have to wait for further announcements to find out exactly which platforms are getting the game.
While fans wait for the developers to issue more announcements, they can go ahead and study the details that were previously revealed.
According to an earlier report from Gematsu, new features such as a laser-based firearm and more areas are expected to be featured.
This time around, the protagonist may also have a background different from the characters who have starred in earlier entries of the series.
More news about "God Eater 3" should be made available in the near future.
