Google Event October 2013 Live Stream Not Available on YouTube (Update): Play Event Start Time, Keynote Schedule - No Nexus 5 Release Today
UPDATE** - As of 7.01 p.m. ET Google still has not released a live stream link of their event, meaning it is likely they will not be live streaming the event to the public. However, if they do post a last minute stream they are likely to do so on the company's YouTube channel, as they have done in the past. Google's YouTube channel page can be accessed by clicking here.

The Google Event on October 24 will not see the Nexus 5 release date unveiled, but will rather focus on the new Google Play Store 4.4. The event comes just days following the Apple Event unveiled the new iPad Air and iPad Mini 2. The event will start at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) and may be available to be watched online through live stream (details below).

Excitement has been building for months for the launch of the Nexus 5 smartphone and even though Google fans were hoping that the wait was finally over, it now appears as though they will have to wait a little longer. The tech. giant has confirmed that the event will not feature the LG-manufactured Nexus 5. Google had taken a very Apple-like approach to the event by keeping official announcements to a minimum, however, so intense were the rumors that the Nexus 5 would be released, Google thought it best to announce Thursday that the Nexus 5 would not be featured, and keeping fans from being disappointed by tuning in to the event specifically for that device.
Google's press invitation to the event states: "Join us for a night out with Google Play – Music, movies, games and a special performance by Capital Cities."
The special event will also allow Google to show off its updated Google Play Store 4.4. Rumors suggest that the Nexus 5 will not be unveiled until the very end of October, or early November.
Various reports have claimed that Google will announce the Nexus 5 on Oct. 28, which corresponds to several images shared on various KitKat social media pages.
Recently, pre-orders for the Nexus 5 have been shooting up on eBay – one listing was asking for $650, and another for $600. The more expensive listing offers a 32 GB Nexus 5. It is believed that Google will offer the device for somewhere between $300 and $400 when it is finally officially released.
There has also been huge hype around the Nexus 10 2, but again Google will not be unveiling this device at today's event. Google has also not unveiled any price or specs information officially, meaning everything else is just speculation and rumor at this point.
However, what is fairly certain is that both the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 10 2 will be featuring the new Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
