Google I/O Developer Conference Announced for May 2013
The Google I/O developer conference will take place from May 15-17, according to an announcement made by the company.
The Moscone Center West in San Francisco will host the event and Google plans on announcing more details regarding it next February.
Google I/O usually spans over a few days and the company uses it to unveil its latest hardware and software.

At last year's conference, the company introduced its new Google Nexus 7 tablet.
Google also unveiled its new Android 4.1, Jelly Bean OS at the event.
Next year's event could be the place where Google introduces the world to the successor of the tremendously successful Nexus 7 Android tablet.
Nexus 7, along with the Android 4.1, JellyBean update to 2011's Ice Cream Sandwich have brought the company much success over the past year.
Google is rumored to be releasing its Android 5.0, Key Lime Pie sometime in the near future. Next year's Google I/O conference might be the perfect time and place to do it. It also would make sense to introduce the software on a Nexus tablet, since the last major Android refresh debuted on a smartphone known as the Galaxy Nexus.
Either way, Google does not plan on confirming any more information on this year's conference until February, so Android fans will have to hold out a little bit longer.
In other Google news, the company just rolled out Gmail version 2.0 for iPads and iPhones.
The new software introduces multiple account support, a new fresher look, and search predictions.
It also brings interactive Google+ posts support, an infinite scroll inbox, new welcome screen, and the ability to respond to Google Calendar invites.
Google set out to make the application more appealing and named it Gmail 2.0 due to its redesign.
