Google Nexus 6 vs HTC One M9: Comparison of Specs, Features
HTC had once again delivered a solid device with its recently announced flagship, the HTC One M9. The phone has been pitted against many top devices, and with its improved specs and design, the One M9 proved that it can hold its own against top brands, but how will it do when its pitted against the Google Nexus 6?
Though the Nexus 6 is a few months older than the One M9, both phones run on the Android 5.0 Lollipop, and the Google phone's large screen makes it a favorite all over the world.
Here, we compare the two devices:
Design:
The HTC One M9 has an aluminium body just like its predecessor, but with defined edges and flattened sides. The phone measures 5.69 x 2.74 x 0.37 inches and weighs 5.5 ounces. The edge of the phone has a slightly different color than the back panel, which gives a dual tone effect. Color variations include a gold edge around a silver body, a silver edge around a dark grey body, and a gold body with a black edge.
Meanwhile, the Nexus 6 is the first plus-size smartphone with Google, and the company decided to go big —literally — with this device. The phone measures 6.27 x 3.27 x 0.40 inches and weighs 6.49 ounces. The phone is made of plastic and is available in Cloud White and Midnight Blue.
Features:
The HTC One M9 has a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1090 x 1920 and pixel density of 441ppi, while the Nexus 6 has a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and pixel density of 493ppi.
When it comes to cameras, the HTC phone dominates as it's equipped with a 20MP rear camera and 4MP front shooter, while the Google phone has a 13MP rear facing camera and 2MP front camera.
The One M9 has 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with a micro SD card, while the Nexus 6 has 64GB internal memory out of the box.
Price:
Off contract, the Google Nexus 6 costs $650. Pricing is currently not available for the HTC One M9, but U.S. carriers AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile are expected to announce the pricing soon.
