Google Nexus 7 2017 vs Galaxy Tab S3 Specs News: Nexus Tablet to Give Samsung's a Run for Its Money?
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 was poised to dominate the tablet game, but it looks like Google is giving the South Korea-based tech giant a run for its money with the purported Nexus 7 2017.
Rumor has it that Google's Nexus comeback will be massive. Its tablet offering will reportedly rival the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, which was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in Barcelona.
Like Samsung's newly unveiled tablet, the Google Nexus 7 2017 will reportedly house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4 GB random-access memory (RAM) and 32 GB storage.
On the display department, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 boasts a 9.7-inch super active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) screen with 1,536 x 2,048-pixel resolution. If the reports are to be believed, the Google Nexus 7 2017 has it beaten as the tablet from the software titan will reportedly boast a 7-inch display with 2,560 x 1,440 screen resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 also comes with a 13-megapixel (MP) rear-facing camera and a 5 MP selfie snapper. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner and a massive 6,000 mAh battery with fast-charging capabilities.
There is no word about what the Google Nexus 7 2017 has to offer in these departments, but it is expected to match that of Samsung's tablet offering.
What the reports suggest, however, is that the first Google Nexus in a while will come with the Andromeda operating system (OS) — the hybrid of the Chromebook OS and Android OS.
It remains a mystery at the moment when the Google device will come out, but since it is projected as a competitor of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, it might be released around the time the Samsung tablet hits the shelves.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is now on preorder and will be shipped on March 24. Users could only hope that news about the Google Nexus 7 2017 could emerge before that.
