Google Nexus 7 Tablet Images Leaked
Images of what could be the upcoming Google Nexus 7 tablet have leaked onto the internet this week.
The pictures are press-shots that show a device with an ASUS logo on the back and a very similar look to the Samsung Galaxy S3 in the front.
Its backing is black and white in the photo, but there is a earpiece slit in the front which shows that these images could be for a smartphone and not a tablet.
Other features seen in the front of the device include a front-facing camera and touchscreen display.
The long awaited 7-inch Google Nexus tablet also recently surfaced in a RightWare benchmark test and some information on the device was revealed during it.
The tablet will be called the Google Asus Nexus 7, according to the test, and it will boast a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, run Android 4.1, and carry a 768 x 1280 resolution.
Google is expected to unveil the new tablet at the company's I/O conference set to take place next month. Older reports originally pointed to a possible May launch, but it is much too late for those to be authentic.
ASUS is now confirmed to be a part of this long-rumored Google tablet and many insiders say this new device will look very similar to some of the other gadgets put out by the Taiwanese manufacturer.
This Google ASUS Nexus Tablet is set to go head to head with other 7-inch tablets on the market including the Amazon Kindle Fire, and Barnes and Noble Nook tablet priced at $199 and $250.
ASUS and Google should try to keep their tablet it in that same price range if they want to see success in the market with this product.
