Gore Fined for Socks After 49ers Running Back Wore Them Too Low
49ers running back Frank Gore was fined by the NFL for his socks being too low during his team's win in the NFC Championship game.
The star running back was fined $10,500 by the NFL on Wednesday for a uniform violation for having his socks too low.
"Yeah, I'll be cool. It's all good," Gore told reporters on Wednesday. "I was wrong. Next time I'll do better."

With a chance to play in the Super Bowl at stake, Gore explained that he was focused on performing at his best and not necessarily concerned with his attire, but does say that he will pay closer attention to his uniform in the future.
"When you're playing, you don't think about it," Gore said. "You're trying to win."
This is not the first time a NFL player was fined for not wearing the proper gear this season.
Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was fined $10,000 by the NFL for wearing Adidas apparel during his post-game press conference after his team beat the Baltimore Ravens on Dec. 9.
Griffin did not play in the game as he was listed as inactive on the team's injury report after suffering a sprained knee.
During the post-game press conference he wore an Adidas T-shirt and sweat jacket, but that did not sit well with league officials due to the league's sponsorship deal with Nike. Griffin has an endorsement deal with Adidas.
NFL sources revealed that he was fined for wearing "unofficial attire."
This is the second time this season that Griffin has been called out by the league for what he was wearing, but this is the first time he has been fined for it.
During the Redskins season opener, Griffin covered up the Nike logo on his official team warm-up shirt before he took the field against the New Orleans Saints, but was not publically reprimanded.
