'Gotham' Season 4 Episode 8 Spoilers: Tension between Gordon and Bullock Continues
The fates will continue to test Jim (Ben McKenzie) and Bullock (Donal Logue) in the upcoming episode of "Gotham."
In the episode titled "Stop Hitting Yourself," the synopsis reveals that a new complication will rise that will test Jim and Bullock's years of friendship. It appears that the higher-ups will offer Jim the position of captain of the Gotham City PD, which will obviously put him at odds with Bullock.
Last episode, the tension was already high between the two detectives when they argued in the middle of an operation to take down Professor Pyg (Michael Cerveris). Bullock's patience with Jim seems to be getting shorter nowadays. Speculations are rife that it is because he is jealous of the younger man's achievements in the GCPD.
The promo shows Bullock bitterly jesting Jim for achieving what he has always wanted. The latter tries to explain that he is only doing his job, but Bullock will have none of it. Meanwhile, a scene shows Sofia Falcone (Crystal Reed) getting a bit too close to Jim. She is shown touching his chest while looking at him imploringly. What she is up to now still remains a mystery.
Meanwhile, Grundy (Drew Powell) and Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) are acquiring quite a huge amount of admirers at Cherry's (Maria Benedict) place in The Narrows. When Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) discovers that his former friend has been making fun of him on stage, he will plot against him with The Sirens' help.
The promo shows Grundy going all out while fighting his opponent at the ring. Tabitha (Jessica Lucas) is close by, watching her former lover. She cannot seem to believe that the man is the same person she was in love with in the past. Elsewhere, Penguin is on the warpath.
"Gotham" season 4 airs Thursdays, at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
