'Gotham' Season 4 Spoilers: New Villains to be Introduced
FOX's DC-based superhero show "Gotham" features a continuously growing number of baddies. Apart from the newest addition, Solomon Grundy (Butch Gilzean), more villains will be added into the fray soon, executive producer John Stephens reveals.
Speaking to Comic Book, Stephens told the publication that they are planning to add a new villain to the series, Julian Gregory Day who is also known as the Calendar Man. He is not expected to appear in the current season of "Gotham." Most likely, he will be introduced in season 5.
When asked about the Calendar Man's possible appearance on the series, Stephens answered, "Oh 100 percent." He continued, "There's been a lot of conversations about him. We got really close to using him this year, but we could not. But he's one of the ones who's on deck as saying, 'Well, we gotta use Julian Day.'"
Another set of villains that should appear in "Gotham" is the Sirens. Though details about the group of female villains are scarce, Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) and Poison Ivy (Maggie Geha) are among the characters rumored to be part of the group. Jessica Lucas' Tabitha Galavan is another character rumored to be part of the Sirens.
Tabitha was not part of the original group, but the TV adaptation of DC's well-loved comic books might bring in new members to the girl gang.
On a different note, Erin Richards' Barbara is expected to make a transition this season, into Harley Quinn. Showrunner Danny Cannon did not confirm speculations but he did imply its possibility. After Barbara survived after she was electrocuted by Tabitha and she somehow found herself in the clutches of Ra's al Ghul, who brought her back to life, and taught her some kick-ass martial arts skills.
"Gotham" season 4 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
