'Grace and Frankie' Season 4 News: Lisa Kudrow Channels Phoebe Buffay in New Trailer

Netflix has released the trailer for the upcoming fourth season of "Grace and Frankie."

The two-minute trailer opens with Frankie (Lily Tomlin) asking Grace (Jane Fonda) whether she gave the dating site she recommended a try. Grace says yes, but she did not chance upon anyone she liked. Their conversation is interrupted by Sheree, played by Lisa Kudrow, whom Frankie does not seem to know.

As revealed earlier this year by Entertainment Weekly, Sheree is Grace's manicurist whose arrival will cause a rift between the two titular characters. Kudrow's guest-starring stint will reunite her with "Friends" co-creator Marta Kauffman, who is also one-half of the mind behind "Grace and Frankie."

It is obvious that Frankie does not like Sheree as much as Grace does. Sheree also has the same kind of eccentricity that her "Friends" character, Phoebe, had.

Grace and Frankie also get their vibrator business to launch, handing them out at a university. A police officer confronts them on it, but Grace contends that they are simply "empowering young women," which receives a huge cheer from the students.

Meanwhile, Robert (Martin Sheen) and Sol (Sam Waterston) seem to be going through a rough patch. They are seen at couples therapy, where Sol points out that he likes to socialize with a lot of people, something that Robert frowns at. Their therapist suggests an open marriage and, by the looks of it, the two give it a try. However, Robert becomes jealous at the sight of Sol getting spoon-fed by some other guy.

The trailer also features some of the problems that come with aging, including health and dating issues. These are only a couple of things that the show explores when it comes to growing old, which is something that Kauffman prides herself in.

"I don't know this for a fact, but I'm fairly certain these aren't topics of conversation on other programs," Kauffman said in a guest column for The Hollywood Reporter. "We want to tackle aging from every angle."

"Grace and Frankie" season 4 will be released on Jan. 19 on Netflix.
