Grace Bush, 16-Year-Old Prodigy, Graduates College Before High School (VIDEO)

Grace Bush, a 16-year-old from Hollywood, Florida, graduated college with a 3.8 GPA before graduating high school, according to reports. The South Florida teen received her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University last Friday and will receive her high school diploma from Florida Atlantic University high school.

Grace Bush managed to achieve such a spectacular feat by participating in a dual-enrollment program, which allows certain intelligent students to earn college credits and high school credits at the same time. Bush, who is the third oldest of nine children, was encouraged by her parents to do so to save money, and was homeschooled throughout her education.

"I started when I was 13 at Broward College, and I also took my classes throughout the summer, so I was able to finish it before four years," Bush told CBS Miami.

Still, looking forward to a master's degree at only age 16 has a somewhat surreal quality to it. She was able to complete her bachelor's in only three years.

"It's kind of weird that I graduated college before high school," she admitted, adding that she's simply following in the footsteps of her siblings. "My two older sisters are doing it and I'm the third to do it. My oldest sister already graduated and my second oldest sister is graduating this summer."

Grace has big goals too: "I would eventually like to become chief justice of the United States," she told CBS Miami. To do that, she plans on getting her master's degree and then heading to law school. She's already begun studying for the LSATs so that she can get a full scholarship.

The Bushes had indications that their daughter would be very smart from a young age.

"At two years old, she was already reading and I was totally shocked," her mother said.
