Marjorie Jones, the mother of entertainer Grace Jones and megachurch pastor Bishop Noel Jones, died on Monday. She was 90 years old.

Marjorie suffered from a "massive stroke" last month before dying Monday at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, according to the New York Daily News. Marjorie, who led the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Syracuse, New York, reportedly died with family by her side, including her style icon daughter, Grace.

"Grace joined the rest of the family the moment she heard Marjorie had a severe stroke just a few weeks ago. She was hopeful that her mum was going to pull through after she came out of a coma," a source reportedly told the New York Daily News. "Sadly, Marjorie couldn't make a full recovery and passed away on Monday with her family by her side."

Marjorie's late husband Bishop Robert Winston Jones founded the Syracuse church in the '50s after the family emigrated from Jamaica. Together, Robert and Marjorie led backyard revivals in the '70s, according to Syracuse.com.

"He was a lover of people," Marjorie previously said of her husband in 2008, according to Syracuse.com. "He felt like a lot of people would not come into the church and so the best way to draw them was to bring the church to them."

Marjorie and Robert are survived by eight children and over a dozen grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their son, megachurch pastor Bishop Noel Jones, leads the City of Refuge Church in Los Angeles, California.

While Grace is well known for making '80s nightclub hits like "Pull Up to the Bumper" she might've also inherited some of her parents' spiritual beliefs. Christian actress Meagan Good previously revealed that Grace once gave her some Godly encouragement.

Good described Jones as being "so fearless about what anyone had to say, and so transparent about the mistakes made, but so absolutely, positively confident of her love for God and how much He absolutely loved her. ..."
