Grammys Red Carpet: Dress Codes, Surprises, and Oh No's!
The 55th Annual Grammy Award red carpet came under the fashion microscope last night as the television audience watched to see who would comply with the CBS network's dress code for the major music event.
Music and fashion combined as artists strutted down the red carpet. As expected, there were artists who went against the dress code in the name of freedom of expression.
Jennifer Lopez recreated Angelina Jolie's leg stance in a black Anthony Vaccaello dress with a split that saw no end, causing many mixed critiques from numerous fashion critics.
Katy Perry showed a little more than cleavage in a mint-green gown she said was inspired by Priscilla Presley 1970's look that also caused Ryan Seacrest to become distracted during his interview for E! Red Carpet.
Kelly Roland also pushed the dress code memo in a black Georges Chakra cut out gown.
While these artists choose to be daring, others took the safe more conservative approach.

Adele wore read floral Valentino while Carrie Underwood decided upon Roberto Cavalli.
Nicole Kidman supported her husband Keith Urban while wearing Vera Wang. Country music's darling Taylor Swift surprised in a cream J Mendel gown.
The Grammy Awards took place at the Staple Center in Los Angeles.
