'Gran Turismo Sport' News: Different Kinds of Cars Expected To Be Added as DLC

Wait for DLC expected to be shorter with this installment of the series

"Gran Turismo Sport's" collection of cars has been a cause of concern for some fans who are worried that they may not be getting enough vehicles or kinds of them.

For a game fully focused on simulating those different experiences people can have behind the wheel, variety is obviously important and it seems like developers are well aware of that too.

Spotted recently by GTPlanet, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi talked a bit about the kind of roster that the game will have on launch day and what will be done to improve upon it during an interview with the official Japanese PlayStation Blog.

According to Yamauchi, one of the reasons for why the current roster is a little more focused on sports cars is due to preparations that have to be made for the FIA Championship.

Yamauchi then shared that he was aware that other kinds of cars are important to the series too, citing examples like classic and family cars. He expressed a desire to add more cars to "Gran Turismo Sport" and that may be done through future updates and post-launch downloadable content releases.

Many fans will likely be glad to hear that more cars, and specifically other kinds of them, are still coming after launch.

On top of that, the wait for DLC may also not last for that long.

While speaking to members of the media last year, Yamauchi indicated that he and the other developers were planning to provide DLC support for the upcoming game much earlier than what happened with "Gran Turismo 5," DualShockers reported. Yamauchi also shared that the DLC additions should arrive at a steady pace after the game itself is released.

Fans will be able to check out the different cars available in "Gran Turismo Sport" as soon as the game is released on Oct. 17.
