'Gran Turismo Sport' News: Series Creator Kazunori Yamauchi Details Which DLC Items Are Expected To Be Added
Devs now focused on DLC following the game's release
"Gran Turismo Sport" is finally here, bringing its distinct brand of high-end racing, collection of awesome automobiles and a bunch of other items for fans to enjoy.
There is still more coming to the game, however, and more details about the downloadable content plans for it were provided by series creator Kazunori Yamauchi just recently.
Yamauchi responded to some fans' queries over on Twitter not long ago, and the folks over at DualShockers provided translations of his comments.
First off, Yamauchi revealed that there will be more cars added to the game. Commercial cars, vintage cars and even some famous automobiles are expected to be introduced as DLC.
On top of that, Super GT cars will also be speeding their way into "Sport."
Yamauchi also hinted that there will be additional tracks eventually introduced as DLC.
Unfortunately, more details about when these post-launch additions may be released have not been provided just yet, but fans may not have to wait that long for them.
Speaking earlier this year to finder.com.au's Chris Stead, Yamauchi shared that the creation of DLC will become the focus of the developers following the release of "Gran Turismo Sport." With the game out now, it is likely that work has already begun on DLC, so it may not take long before the developers provide some more details.
At this point, it also remains unclear if the upcoming DLC items will be made available to players for free via updates or if they will be sold in packs. It is also possible that some add-ons will be released for free while others are sold.
For now, fans of the series will just have to wait until the developers are ready to shed more light on their DLC plans, and in the meantime, they can enjoy the base game and all it currently has to offer.
More news about "Gran Turismo Sport" should be made available soon.
