Grand Theft Auto 5 PC Petition to Rockstar Games Over 500,000 Signatures
Grand Theft Auto 5 PC screenshots were allegedly leaked yesterday, and now fans of the game are uniting to try and petition Rockstar Games to port the game to the PC.
The petition is looking to garner one million signatures and it is already over 500,000 in just a week.
The petition reads:
"Please release GTA V on PC. GTA games have been a large part of so many people's lives and it's a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform. Things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have. I hope you consider the release of GTA V on PC as it'll make many people very happy!"
Fans need not worry, because Rockstar almost always puts out a PC version of their games with GTA IV coming to PC eight months after its console release.
Yesterday a user on Reddit claimed they have been testing the game for the PC as a Beta tester for Rockstar games.
User DevBuild is playing as the character, Franklin, and screenshots a picture of Taskmanager to show the game is running and not a fake. However, many in the gaming community feel these screencaps were easily doctored.
Grand Theft Auto V became the fastest -selling entertainment product ever, making over a billion dollars in just three days.
The video game smashed all sorts of sales records all over the world and was estimated to make $1 billion in its first month. It did that in just three days after making more than $800 million on the launch.
"Grand Theft Auto V, the critically acclaimed latest release from the iconic interactive entertainment series, has achieved worldwide retail sales of more than one billion dollars during its first three days on sale, according to company estimates," Take-Two Interactive Software said in a statement. "We believe this marks the fastest that any entertainment property, including video games and feature films, has reached this significant milestone."
The game cost a reported $115 million to make and another $150 million to market through Take-Two.
