Grand Theft Auto 5 PC Version Spotted in Bug Logs
The Grand Theft Auto 5 PC Version was recently spotted in bug logs chronicling separate builds of the game from April, 2009 to August, 2013.
This log that was attained by PC Gamer is over 150 pages and mentions the PC version of the game and brings up issues that would only affect that port.
"The document contains over 170 references to PC development bugs, numerous notes on DX11 support and a related 'smog' weather setting, mention of a 'lastgen' toggle used during development and bugs relating to 64-bit system testing," wrote PC Gamer.
Rumors of a Grand Theft Auto 5 PC version began surfacing in Oct. shortly after the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions were released. Intel's Marketing Director Chris Silva predicted that GTAV was going to be released for PC. His statement was later confirmed by an anonymous source.
There was also a petition made up to bring GTAV to the PC and it reached 600,000 signatures by Oct. 18 2013. The earliest expected release date for the game is Q1 2014.
A new mod is being developed for Grand Theft Auto IV on the PC that transforms the game's map into the next version found in GTA V.
Gamer site Kotaku posted up a few shots showing off the new software adjustment that caters to those who are anxious for the release of a PC version of the Rockstar title. The modders have even found a way to take some of the cars from GTA V and put them in the older game.
The mod team released a few rough videos that show cars driving around without pedestrians and a fly-over of San Andreas. They promise to release a more polished video sometime in the very near future.
