Grand Theft Auto 5 Surpasses 29 Million Units Sold in Only a Month

Grand Theft Auto 5 just passed the 29 million mark in sales in a month, revealed Tale-Two.

"The title received stellar reviews, shattered entertainment industry records, and has already sold-in nearly 29 million units to date," said Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick according to Joystiq. "The extraordinary success of Grand Theft Auto V illustrates the positive momentum in our business and consumers' enduring appetite for the highest-quality interactive entertainment."

The game made over a billion dollars in just three days when it released last month breaking all sorts of entertainment sales records.

Grand Theft Auto 5 has a new DLC on the way called "Beach Bum" that will allow the gamers GTA Online character options to make him more beach-friendly.

According to Inquisitr, included will be different hairstyles, clothing options, and an option of new tattoos as well as new missions. Another DLC from Rockstar Studios will allow the gamer to create their own online missions. The DLC's will be available for free, according to Inquisitr.

In lieu of all the Grand Theft Auto 5 PC talk, Internet scammers have set up a fake torrent of the game online that infects the unfortunate downloaders computer with Malware. The file is named, "GTA V Full PC Game + Crack," and takes a whopping 18GB of computer space. See what the file looks like here.

When a user tries to download the file it takes the person to a phishing site where they ask for personal information to register the title. WCCFTech reports that the file has been downloaded thousands of times. It even brings up the GTA 5 title screen, further fooling gamers into downloading it. See that screen here.

Gamers and industry people feel GTA will make it to the PC sometime in early 2014 following the timeline of previous installments of the game.
