Grassrootz 2004 to Offer "Something For Everyone"
A festival "jam-packed" with something for everyone, will be held July 10, 2004 in the Eridge Estate near Tunbridge Wells in Kent. Grassrootz Festival, the premier Christian music festival in South East UK, will feature over 20 bands, artists and speakers, "doing their stuff" in loads of venues, for over twelve hours, all on one big field.
This year's festival, the fourth in its history, will feature headline-act Delirious - one of the biggest Christian bands in the UK, known across the world - and some other top new acts, such as thebandwithnoname, alongside Grassrootz faves, such as the London Community Gospel Choir and Steve and Cathy Burton, to mention but a few.
Speakers include Bishop Graham Cray and Diane-Louise Jordan, who will talk about a variety of topics. According to organizers, the seminars have been a hit in previous years.
Other activities include gaming activities such as human table football, the Rodeo Bull, Bouncy Castles, Volleyball and a Bungee Run; a dedicated program of children's entertainment, featuring songs, puppets, face-painting and wacky games for the children; a battle of the bands competition featuring bands representing their local schools; a "Praystation" with a variety of resources including a set-aside area, artwork and craft activities; a music store and bookstall; and a food village and performance cafe.
With all this, festival organizers say attendants will find that Grassrootz really offers "something for everyone."
"Grassrootz is an established music festival, and we're growing to know that the Grassrootz experience is a unique one," stated event organizers. "Whatever your age, whatever your music taste, Grassrootz festival offers you a phenomenal experience, and a totally grand day out!
"There's so much on offer that the only way we can really do justice to it is if you experience it for yourself!"
This year, a number of organizations are supporting or partnering with the festival, including Cross Rhythms radio, the Life and Soul Youthwork, and the United Christian Broadcasters (UCB), one of the UK's leading Christian media ministries.
