Green Bay Packers NFL Trade Rumors: Packers Considered Adrian Peterson Visit?
Adrian Peterson is still looking for a new home now that the Minnesota Vikings have officially decided to part ways with him. A handful of teams are still looking for running back, but surprisingly, they haven't been targeting Peterson. Why is that?
Citing two league sources, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said the Green Bay Packers actually thought about bringing Peterson in for a free-agent visit, but they decided against it because his price tag was reportedly too high.
But Peterson has denied that money was an issue and he said he's in no rush to sign with any team right now.

"It's not all about the money as EVERYONE is speculating here lately. You'd think these analysts spoke to me directly. When you don't know what's going on people will say anything to create or make a story! How prideful is it for me to put out ... I won't play for anything less than 8 million!" Peterson said on Twitter.
"Here is something straight from the horse's mouth ... finding the best fit & helping a team in a major way win a championship is my main objective! I'm in no rush," he continued.
Apparently, Peterson doesn't mind waiting and it's clear that he wants to sign with a team that has a legitimate chance to win the Super Bowl. However, he cannot really afford to wait too long.
Most running back-needy teams have already found their man and it seems that the Oakland Raiders would rather go after a retired Marshawn Lynch. A lot of running back prospects are also available in this year's draft.
The New York Giants do have a need at the position, but Gary Meyers of the New York Daily News said the team will not pursue Peterson because of the domestic violence issue with Josh Brown. Remember Peterson's child abuse case a few of years ago? The Giants probably don't want to experience another public relations nightmare like that. So, Peterson will have to wait.
