'Grey's Anatomy' Season 11 News: Sarah and Jackson Are Expecting, Callie and Arizona Breaking Up?
After April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson (Jesse Williams) surprised fans by getting married on season 10 of "Grey's Anatomy" it appears that there's one more surprise from the best friends turned newlyweds on the new season of the show. Drew confirmed that her character is expecting a baby.
"She and Jackson are walking into a gigantic new chapter of their lives together," Drew said to E! News. "They really hit the ground running in their relationship with the total last-second surprise wedding and then almost immediately after, a surprise pregnancy."
"They've got a lot of changes ahead of them and they will have to grow up really, really fast. We're going to see how this pregnancy is affecting both of them, and it's an emotional roller coaster as all things are on 'Grey's Anatomy.' It's been really fun to explore that," she added.
While one couple is one their way to new beginnings, another may be headed for a break-up as the Callie and Arizona-centered episode, "Bend or Break" was announced. It can be recalled that show creator Shonda Rhimes predicted that the odds of their relationship's survival is at 50/50, so this could be the episode where the breakup happens.
Here is the premise for "Bend of Break," which will air on Oct. 22 according to Wetpaint.
"In this Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) centric episode, the couple takes a look into the problems that have contributed to their troubled marriage. At work, Callie immerses herself in the Veteran's project, and Arizona struggles to impress Dr. Herman (Geena Davis). Meanwhile, Richard (James Pickens Jr.) leans on Bailey (Chandra Wilson) for advice," the synopsis reads.
"Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
