"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 Episode 21 Spoilers: An Ugly Custody Battle Ensues
Episode 21 for "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 is gearing up to be one ugly battle for custody of Sofia (Eva Ariel Binder) between Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Callie (Sara Ramirez). And it looks like Arizona may be on the losing end---at least that's how she feels about the situation. A promo video of the upcoming episode provides a quick peek into what is in store for fans of the medical drama series on ABC.
As Arizona breaks down in her car approaching her fight to keep her daughter in Seattle with her. She also has second thoughts about the case she is bringing against Callie, after the latter tried to take Sofia to the other side of the country, believing she has little chance of winning.
In the new trailer for the next episode, Arizona is talking to Weber (James Pickens Jr.) saying, "I just want to lie down. I should because I'm going to lose this case."
Without much hope in her, Arizona tells Weber she believes it is a losing fight, but one that could only hurt Sofia.
"And it's going to end up with me losing my little girl anyway because that woman is watching me be a terrible doctor and a terrible mother, which maybe I am. Today I feel like both," shares Arizona.
But Weber gives Arizona some encouragement, telling her to stand up for herself and believe she deserved to have her daughter with her.
"Do you want to lie down? You don't get to," Weber tells her.
The fight will get uglier because Calzona's friends will be brought into the fray.
Meantime, Callie tries to convince Alex (Justin Chambers) to be a witness for her side in the ensuing legal battle. She tells him that she needed someone who knew her as a person who could be trusted with kids, meaning Sofia.
Callie tells Alex, "I also know that you have a relationship with Arizona."
Callie will also turn to Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) for help even as Arizona will approach April (Sarah Drew). In the ensuing showdown of who's the better person to be awarded custody of Sofia, both sides will fight like never before.
And as to who will win shall be revealed on Thursday 8 p.m. on ABC on "You're Gonna Need Someone on Your Side."
