'Grey's Anatomy' Season 14 Episode 3 Spoilers: Owen Is Prepared to Drop Everything for Amelia

Owen (Kevin McKidd) will make his wife, Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone), his first priority in the next episode of "Grey's Anatomy."

In the episode titled "Go Big or Go Home," the promo showed Amelia trying to make sense of her terrible ordeal. She recently found out that she had a massive tumor. Amelia was shown to be in denial, trying to give off the impression that she was okay and that her condition does not bother her. Amelia does not want Owen to know about her illness. They have yet to patch things up with regard to their past misunderstanding about children. There is no way she will let her health cause more problems for them now.

Owen, however, will eventually learn the truth.

In an interview with Deadline, McKidd said that his character would step up "the way someone must do when the person they love is in a medical dilemma." It is evident that no matter how his wife tries to keep the secret to herself, it will come out. Owen will be there for her every step of the way. Perhaps in doing so, they will be able to make their marriage work again.

"Amelia had this tumor go undiagnosed and it's been affecting her choices and her personality. She probably had it when she asked Owen to marry her. When you roll the videotape back however many years, she asks, 'Who have I been?' and Owen asks the same emotions. It's interesting to see where they end up. The tumor changes the game," McKidd said.

Meanwhile, fans finally got to meet Owen's sister, Megan (now played by Abigail Spencer). Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) was not able to hide her misgivings when she saw the other woman at the hospital. It was obvious that she was worried about her relationship with Nathan (Martin Henderson). The New Zealander will have to decide later on if he will tell Megan that they are over while she is still recuperating.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 14 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
