'Grimm' Season 4 News: Nick, Hank and Trubel Investigate New Wesen, David Giuntoli Talks About His Character
The Season 4 premiere of "Grimm" sees Nick, Hank and Trubel as they dig for more information about Gedachtnis Esser, a Wesen with an octopus for a head. Meanwhile, Nick still doesn't have his Grimm powers back, but will he ever get them back?
In an interview with Three If By Space, "Grimm" star David Giuntoli talked about his character and also shared some spoilers for season 4.
"Yes, Grimm powers are gone from Nick, and he's kind of enjoying his new normalcy, I think," said Giuntoli. "So first and foremost he's going to be using Trubel as his seeing eye Grimm. He's going to be tapping Monroe …tapping on his shoulder quite a bit."
"He doesn't have his powers anymore, and that means that not only can he not see the Wesen, he's just not as powerful as he was," he added.
Giuntoli also said that now that Nick doesn't have his powers anymore, he will have to rely on his other qualities to solve cases.
"He has to focus on being a cop again. He used to solve crimes without having blatant tells as to who did this. So now, he has to remember that he was a good detective and start solving cases the old-fashioned way—through evidence," the actor explained.
As for the other characters on the show, Giuntoli teased some spoilers for the upcoming season and said that everyone is "in a state of chaos."
"Yes, so Adalind and Nick are now connected in some magical, horrible way … Monroe and Rosalee, honeymoon postponed, due to the chaos that ensued. Wu, getting very suspicious of what he's been seeing …I'm freaking out. Hank's just having a good time. Juliette, oh yes … I don't know what I can say. But yes, everybody is in a state of chaos," he said.
"Grimm" will premiere its fourth season on Friday, Oct. 24 at 9/8c on NBC.
