'Grimm' Season 4 News: Show Creators Spill Major Spoilers for New Season
One day before the season 4 premiere of "Grimm," co-creators David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf shared some major spoilers about the new season.
Greenwalt said that the theme for the new season is all about identity.
"Not 'Who am I?' so much as 'Who should I be?'" he said an interview with TVGuide.com. This theme will reportedly be explored in the first two episodes wherein the Grimm team faces off with the Gedachtnis Esser, which is a Wesen with an octopus for a head and steals people's memories.

The show creators talked about what fans can expect from the new season, starting with Nick. During the last season, Nick thought that he was making love with his girlfriend Juliette, but it was actually Adalind in disguise. This costs Nick his Grimm powers.
"He's in pretty deep shock," said Greenwalt. "It's a big liability [not being able to identify Wesen], but also it poses a moral question of, 'Would I be better off not being a Grimm?' and more importantly, 'Would Juliette be happier were I not a Grimm?'"
As for Monroe and Rosalee, their wedding was interrupted when Nick told them that he has lost his powers, and Trubel scared their guests by revealing that she's a Grimm.
"Their honeymoon is ruined, but their friends feel very guilty about that," said Greenwalt. "Also, a terrible, terrible threat is going to come to them because they're married to each other. A kind of KKK story."
The co-creator also said that fans can expect to see the couple as they try to figure out a spell to bring back Nick's powers.
Meanwhile, Sgt. Wu remains the only one who doesn't know about Grimms, Wesen, or any other supernatural beings. After he finds Nick's Grimm diaries filled with drawings of Wesen, this triggers memories of his encounter with the Aswang, which was so traumatic for him that he ended up staying in the mental hospital for a few weeks.
"Wu is headed for a meltdown," said Kouf. "He may even quit the force. Hank more and more wants to be the kind of mentor to Wu … and Wu is going to have to know."
"Grimm" premieres its fourth season on Oct. 24 at 9/8c on NBC.
