'GTA 5 Online Heists' Release Date Set for 2015, Heists Revealed in New Trailer
Rockstar has confirmed that the "GTA 5 Online" will be released sometime next year and has also unleashed the trailer for the heists that will be available in the game.
Initial rumors stated that "GTA 5 Online" will be available on Dec. 23 to the PlayStation 4 at around 10 a.m. and around 3:30 p.m. for the Xbox.
However, the new statement from Rockstar confirmed the new release date for early 2015 and the trailer that will come for the four-player co-op mode that will allow gamers to "plan, prepare and execute multi-tiered Heists" across the game's Blaine County and Los Santos.
Rockstar also added that the Heists will require "tight communication" and a certain level of "coordination" as the players take on specified roles to be able to accomplish the objectives of each Heist.
The game will also come with a new high-end apartment for the player, seasonal weather depending on the holidays, will have six missions, four new locations, five Cops and Crooks jobs and Heist-related items to choose from.
The trailer recently released by Rockstar also teases the Heists that the players will be participating in, and showed that the game will be coming to all consoles and the PC. An interview with Imran Sarwar, the lead mission designer for the game, explained why the Heists has taken so long as it did but claimed it was worth the wait.
Sarwar explained that the reason was due to the multi-tiered design which featured "diverse prep work, a range of different types of gameplay and a big finale" and also made sure each player will have a distinct and central role for each mission. He also added that he and the team spent many months designing, testing, rewriting and retesting the structure of the game.
"It took a ton of work from our programmers and mission designers to make it work at the level we were happy with," he said.
