Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Celebrate 'Voice' Season 2 Contestant's Engagement Party
Though 'The Voice' has just crowned its Season 9 champion and wrapped up for the year, the relationship between coaches Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton seem to be going full steam ahead.
On Saturday, the couple headed to Nashville, Tennessee, to help plan and celebrate the engagement of former 'Voice' contestant and Shelton teammate, RaeLynn.
Shelton was on hand to help his former protege plan the engagement party celebrating her bethrotal to fiancé Josh Davis. Davis proposed to RaeLynn in October, with the singer announcing the proposal on Instagram via a snap captioned, "MEET MY HANDSOME FIANCE." "Future Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Davis! Can't believe I get to marry my best friend," she wrote.
RaeLynn, whose real name is Racheal Lynn Woodward, posted some Instagram snaps of the ugly sweater-themed party. One of them, which shows RaeLynn, Davis, Stefani, and Shelton decked out in holiday gear inside a photo booth, is captioned "Thank you @AmandaCraig12 and @blakeshelton for hosting the BEST engagement party/shower." It was hashtagged "#destinedtobeadavis."
Before the party began, the 21-year-old singer posted some photos of the party prep. "Yes, me and Joshua are having a Christmas themed engagement party," she wrote in a caption to one photo. "Call me Cindy Lou Who."
Earlier this month, RaeLynn told ET that both Shelton and his ex-wife Miranda Lambert have been giving her marriage advice since they heard about her engagement. The Season 2 "Voice" contestant has been on the road touring with country star Lambert and has remained friendly with Shelton.
"I talk to both of them," she said. RaeLynn added: "You know, they're grown-ups. You handle things." When asked about what kind of advice the ex-couple has been giving her, she answered, "[They said] 'It's all about when you find the right person, you gotta kinda go with it.' They've both been so supportive."
RaeLynn also divulged that she is a big fan of Shelton's current relationship with fellow "The Voice" coach Stefani. "I think it's awesome!" she said. "I mean, she's Gwen Stefani. They're both great people."
