'Haikyuu!!' Chapters 242 & 243 News: Will Karasuno Continue Winning Streak in Match vs Tsubakihara?

The latest chapter of "Haikyuu!!" marked the conclusion of Karasuno's match against Tsubakihara Academy. The match only had two sets but was long enough to cover several chapters of the manga.

Chapter 242 opened with one of Karasuno's most critical moments in the match. Koshi Sugarawa was about to serve the ball and he knew his team could not afford to make a mistake. At that point in the match, the two teams were on their second set, their scores at 24 and 23. The team knew any mistake on their end might turn the tables.

Sugarawa was ferocious during the match, calculating everything before proceeding with the service. Unfortunately for him, his edginess made his service a bit off. Feeling the heavy weight on his shoulders, he reflected on the turn of events at that critical moment and realized he should be grateful that he, Daichi Sawamura and Asahi Azumane were able to reach that point of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Tsubakihara Marumaya thought he already scored because of the blocked spike, but Sugarawa was alert enough to save the ball and pass it to Tobio Kageyama. When Kageyama passed the ball to Asahi for the final hit, the match was finally decided.

The Karasuno team gave their all during the match to fulfill their promise to their previous captain — to restore the former glory of their team. Now that they've already won the match, the team should brace themselves for the new formidable team that they will face in the next chapter.

There are speculations that Karasuno should not be too lax in their next match because in chapter 243, they might play against Tsubakihara. Redditors speculate that they may not continue their winning streak in the next game, considering how aggressive the players of Tsubakihara are.

"Haikyuu!!" season 4 is expected to air in the summer of 2018.
