Halo 5: Guardians Release Date: Launch Coming Fall 2015, Multiplayer Beta Keys Exclusive to Master Chief Collection Holders

Microsoft's highly-popular and widely-known first-person shooter game, "Halo," is to get its newest title named "Halo 5: Guardians" in Fall 2015. The game is being developed by 343 Industries, a subsidiary of Microsoft Studios and will serve as the sequel to "Halo 4."

The game will be an Xbox One exclusive and will run on a frame rate of 60 frames per second.

The game was first announced during the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo with a trailer depicting a Master Chief looking like it came straight from the ending of "Halo 4."

The upcoming "Halo 5" game will be the sixth title in the franchise.

The Halo franchise was first started by game company Bungie but 343 Industries have taken control of the reins since Halo: Reach, after the former left Microsoft to become an independent company.

The release of the game is still far off but on December 29, Microsoft will be opening the beta testing for its Halo 5 multiplayer servers.

The announcement was first made by Microsoft during the E3 Convention earlier this year, after revealing the Halo: Master Chief Collection which will come with an exclusive pass to the beta.

The Master Chief Collection will be including the games "Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary," "Halo 2," "Halo 3," and "Halo 4."

There has been speculation about the return of Cortana as a human or a cyborg construct in "Halo 5" but the rumors have been quickly dispelled. It is still speculated, however, that Cortana will return in some way.
