'Halo Wars 2' News: Windows 10 Demo, Massive 9.9 GB Update Rolled Out
After a couple of weeks of waiting, Windows 10 users can finally experience Microsoft's real-time strategy game, "Halo Wars 2."
Released on the Xbox One last month, the "Halo Wars 2" should give PC players using Windows 10 the chance to try it. This should help them figure out if it is worth picking up or not.
The free "Halo Wars 2" demo will allow players to explore the first mission in the game called The Signal in addition to Blitz Firefight, which will come with prebuilt decks from Captain Cutter and Atriox.
Microsoft says that all this should provide gamers "a great opportunity to test your mettle and see if you have the strategic chops required for victory."
To get the "Halo Wars 2" demo, head to the Windows Store and download it from there. It is important to note that the file size is a massive 16 GB.
Gamers who are looking to play "Halo Wars 2" on PC will also get to enjoy additional features such as 4K resolution support and the ability to assign more control groups.
"Halo Wars 2" has already been released to both the Xbox One and PC. The game has received positive reviews from gamers and critics alike. But those who are still unsure about picking up the game will definitely find the demo released by Microsoft useful.
In other news, "Halo Wars 2" recently received a massive update. With a size of 9.9 GB, this patch offers increased game stability, performance, and fixes for many of the most commonly reported issues with the game.
The update addresses the top issues causing "Halo Wars 2" players to experience crashes, errors and performance problems. It also polishes the gameplay, metagame, cosmetic and audio. The huge patch also introduces "under-the-hood preparation for future ranked multiplayer."
Despite its size, there are still known issues (which they enumerated on their blog) not addressed in the update but 343 Industries is actively working on.
