Hannity 'Worst Excuse for a Journalist,' Says Democrat Keith Ellison (VIDEO)
Democratic congressman Keith Ellison was irate Tuesday during an episode of Sean Hannity's show.
Ellison, a U.S. Representative from the Democratic Party, went straight into attack mode on Tuesday night, calling Hannity "the worst excuse for a journalist." The conversation took place during an interview that Ellison agreed to on Fox's "The Sean Hannity Show."
Hannity began the conversation by stating that the Democratic party was pretty good at "staying on message."
"You're pretty good at it too," Ellison replied. "Quite frankly, you are the worst excuse for a journalist that I have ever seen. It's absurd."
Ellison went on to accuse Hannity of "yellow journalism" and failing to "tell the American people what's really going on."
"It's just shocking to me," the congressman said. "Everything that the American president said is true and to make the American people believe that it isn't is deceptive on your part."
Hannity concluded the interview, stating that that it was a "waste of time,"
Whether Ellison was right a wrong, a number of Internet users suggested that it was a bad time to pass the insult.
"Not a fan of Hannity's, but Keith was pretty rude," one user opined on the Huffington Post wall. "The whole thing just fell short of I know you are but what am I? If this is how are representatives converse, no wonder things take forever to get done."
It was apparently not a good night for Hannity, who was criticized later by another Democrat, Tamera Holder, for his report titled "Nanny City." The report revolved around New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg's continued plan to limit unhealthy food in the city and state.
"Most or almost all Republicans are fata----," Holder said.
Commenting on the numerous insults during the night Hannity responded, "What kind of night is this?"
