Harold Camping a No-Show to Family Radio Office on Monday Morning
Doomsday preacher Harold Camping was a no-show at his Family Radio office in Oakland, Calif., Monday morning despite comments Sunday that he would come to work and give a public statement on his wrong rapture date prediction.
Family Radio employees who did report to work Monday told a Christian Post reporter on-site that Camping was still at his house in Alameda and they were not sure whether the organization's president would come in today.
A worker at the 501-c(3) non-profit, however, told The Christian Post that they hope Camping would respond to his failed May 21 Judgment Day prediction in a TV and radio broadcast at 5:30 p.m. local time. They added that they are uncertain whether Camping would appear then or not.

Camping indicated to at least two papers on Sunday that he would publicly respond to his wrong doomsday predication on Monday.
Speaking to the San Francisco Chronicle Sunday, Camping said he was "flabbergasted" that his May 21 Rapture prediction did not occur, adding that he would speak more on the topic when he returns to work Monday.
"I'll be back to work Monday and will say more then," the 89-year-old Christian radio broadcaster told the Chronicle.
Speaking in person to The International Business Times Sunday, Camping also said that he would give a public statement Monday night.
“Give me a day, no interviews at all today. Sorry. You know this is a big deal, big deal, and I've got to live with it and I've got to think it out. So no interview,” said Camping, seen from the doorway of his Alameda home in a video by IBTimes.
Off-camera, the Family Radio president told IBTimes that his radio station will continue to “operate as normal.”
For most of the some 300 employees at Family Radio, the last words they heard from Camping was from his farewell letter entitled, "Occupy till I come!" citing Luke 19:13.
"Just as the Apostle Paul embarked onto a ship to continue his mission, we at Family Radio are 'occupying until that final day' – 'that glorious day!' when our Lord takes His elect to be with Him," wrote Camping in the letter.
"So, as I bid you farewell, may you steadfastly continue to stand with us to proclaim the Gospel through Family Radio. And may we all be challenged and encouraged by God's Word, as we read in Jude 1:21: 'Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.'"
