'Harry Potter' News: J.K. Rowling to Release New Potter Story on Oct. 31, 'Harry Potter'-Themed Rooms in London Hotel Gaining Popularity

The magic of 'Harry Potter" is still very much alive as fans of the books and the movies are constantly on the lookout for new Potter material. Though it has been seven years since the release of J.K. Rowling's last "Harry Potter" book and three years since the release of the last movie, there's no denying that for loyal fans, any news about "The Boy Who Lived" or other characters related to him is cause for celebration indeed.

On Oct. 31, Potter fans will have a reason to cheer as Rowling will be releasing a new "Harry Potter" story on her Pottermore website. The 1700-word story will focus on Potter's nemesis and former professor, Dolores Umbridge.

"Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters, she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent scar on Harry," a statement on Pottermore said.

Umbridge was played by Imelda Staunton in the films. In the books, she is described as a power-hungry woman who abuses her authority by inflicting cruel punishment on Hogwarts students. This personality is in stark contrast with her outward appearance, as she has a liking for pink clothes and frilly things.

In other news, a hotel in London is gaining popularity after it has announced that it has two rooms that have been decorated to look like a Hogwarts sleeping chamber. The Gregorian House hotel in London altered its two rooms and reportedly contains four-poster beds, cauldrons, trunks emblazoned with Harry Potter's initials, and other "unexpected wizardly details."

As part of the "Harry Potter Package," guests can choose to stay one night for two people to stay in the same room, which costs approximately $340. Those who want breakfast, a "special Muggle walking tour" and tickets to the nearby Warner Bros. Studio for a "Making of Harry Potter" tour will be charged a little over $580.
