Harry Styles and Married Woman Had Affair Despite 15-Year Age Gap
One Direction star Harry Styles reportedly had a fling with a married woman 15 years his senior, it has been revealed.
The 18-year-old boy band member dated 32-year-old DJ Lucy Horobin for just a few weeks when he was 17 after meeting her on Manchester (UK) radio station Key 103. Their fling almost ended Horobin's marriage, according to The Sunday Mirror UK.
"Harry's got a record for pulling some of the most beautiful women in showbiz and couldn't resist Lucy's beautiful looks. He found her really witty and very sexy," a source told the Mirror.
"Lucy was going through a rocky patch with her husband. After only a year of marriage she had doubts over whether she had done the right thing. She had requested taking time out in their relationship and they were virtually leading separate lives," the source added.
Styles eventually began dating TV host Caroline Flack, 32, despite a 15-year-age gap, which ultimately ended his short fling with Horobin.
"Harry just happened to be in the right place at the right time. He charmed his way into her life and brought a little bit of excitement with him. Lucy was confused about her feelings for her husband. They were still living in the same house but not actually living as a couple," the source explained.
"Then, when things fizzled out with Harry, she realized she had made a stupid mistake. She wanted to make a real go of her marriage and decided the only way to do that was to confess about Harry. She was terrified of admitting what she had done," the source added.
One Direction, which is arguably one of the most renowned boy groups in the world today, was promoting its debut single "What Makes You Beautiful," when they were interviewed by Horobin for Key 103.
Styles' fellow band members Zayn Malik, 19, Louis Tomlinson, 20, Niall Horan, 18, and Liam Payne, also 18 all participated in the August interview, although it was Styles who connected with Horobin and the pair quickly became friends.
The two first exchanged messages on Twitter and Facebook, and one month later when Horobin interviewed the boy band again, they were even caught flirting live on air.
The pair later spent a night together in a Manchester hotel, but eventually split after the public scrutiny became overwhelming.
