Hawaii Baptist Academy Held Christian Emphasis Week
Students from the Hawaii Baptist Academy, a school with grades kindergarten to 12th, who participated in the annual Christian Emphasis Week, March 15-19, scattered throughout the community to share Christ. They had a choice from a variety of programs.
While some students stayed on campus to praise with Christian bands and take part in seminars, around 169 students took the bus off-campus to spread the Word even further. A group of ten students took part in a seminar called “Making Right Choices” where they would learn about the life of a typical drug addict. They even were able to visit former drug addicts who are now Christians in a drug rehabilitation center to give comfort. Sophomores rented out a theatre showing of “The Passion of the Christ” to provoke discussions about the movie. More than 100 students spent three days serving and praying in Palolo Valley government housing.
On the last day, the students also participated in “Thrive 2004,” the annual Hawaii Youth Evangelism Conference sponsored by HBA and the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention.

The week was fruitful as 26 students made first-time professions of faith and 186 students recommitted their lives to Christ.
